The Value of an Angel Investor

Getting started investing, one of the many hurdles I face currently is seeing the value I would bring to a company.

I'm a fan of going deeper and being super specific about things I like.

My value would be my niche, I've got years of experience growing communities and working with open source companies. There must be some value there.

But when I write a check of $2,500 to a founder, compared to the $1 Million they could get in a few months. I fail to see what value my check brings.

I plan on talking to founders about this and sharing my thoughts here.
